CTD Wireless Adapter
The Bluetooth and WiFi wireless modules allow bi-directional full duplex communications between the OCEAN SEVEN 3xx CTD and a Personal Computer without using a direct (cable) connection. IDRONAUT Windows programs REDAS5, WTERM operate flawlessly through the wireless modules such as the OCEAN SEVEN 3xxPlus CTD is connected through a cable.
The wireless modules are based on off-the-shelf OEM modules which are integrated and mounted inside the OCEAN SEVEN 3xx CTD housing. The wireless modules provides wireless interfaces conforming to the Bluetooth™ v2.1+EDR/3.0 and IEEE 802.11a,b,g including single stream IEEE 802.11n.
Please note that the two wireless modules are in alternative each other.
Connection between the OCEAN SEVEN 3xx CTD and a Bluetooth™ device is protected by means of the PIN code which uniquely identifies each OCEAN SEVEN 3xx CTDs. CTD connection on the Bluetooth™ network is automatic. Once the wireless module is enumerated by the network the CTD communications automatically switches from wire to wireless.

OCEAN SEVEN 3xx CTD connection with a WiFi access point is managed through dedicated command, automatic identification and configuration. WiFi module to automatically connect to the WLAN network requires the configuration of the access point: identification name, SSID, security key, etc. Access point must run the DHCP protocol and automatically assign an address to the CTD WiFi module. The telnet protocol is used to communicate with the CTD.
Note: The WiFi module can be integrated in the OCEAN SEVEN 316Plus, OCEAN SEVEN 320Plus and OCEAN SEVEN 310 only.
