Salinity is a parameter derived using a dedicated algorithm from the measurement of: Pressure, Temperature and Conductivity sensor immersed in salt water. Thus “Salinity sensors” does not exist. The Oceanographic literature refers to SALINITY as a calculated parameter using “Practical Salinity Scale of 1978” defined by UNESCO.
