The MK Deck Unit is a 19 rack mountable interface unit which supplies DC power ofr the underwater unit, decodes the serial data stream and forwards the received data to a Personal Computer. The high voltage (220V DC) telemetry power supply allows the underwater unit to interface and power seevral additional probes driving up to 1A ( 15 V DC).

When using the deck unit, the underwater unit power flows superimposed on the probe power supply along the armoured single condustor coaxial probe support cable.
Push button and status lights for control of the underwater unit are provided on the front panel.The MK deck Unit has a rear panel selector switch which permits operation from either 115V AC or 230V AC +/-10 %, 47/63 Hz power. Bi-directional communications with the Personal Computer are provided in RS232C format, through a PC interface connector present on the rear panel. |
